About Us

The Victorian Branch of the Liberty & Democracy Party (LDP) was formed in 2007. We stand for lower taxes, smaller government and more freedom. Our position could be described as ‘libertarian’ or ‘classical liberalism’. To learn more about these ideas, reading the articles at the Australian Libertarian Society and watching the Free to Choose videos is a good place to start.

The Victorian Branch is formed under the constitution of the federal party, which has nearly 2000 members. We are currently undertaking a recruitment drive to increase our membership in Victoria to the 500 needed for State registration.
